Online Ordering Works We accept payments via MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, PayPal, money order, and personal check. Some software products (e.g. Rhino Baseball) can be downloaded immediately from our web site when ordered via credit card or PayPal. For 1-time download stats files (which are not protected by a security mechanism), you must wait to receive an email from us which contains the downloading instructions before you can download the product. For products purchased via personal check, we must wait until your check clears the bank before we can fully process your order (which means sending your CD or email downloading instructions).
How Secure Online Ordering Works
Ordering products or services from Rhino Software via our online order system is 100% safe and secure. After selecting items you wish to buy from the order form provided below and clicking the Calculate Order button, you'll be transferred to a series of pages where you can (1) review what's in your shopping cart, (2) provide your name & shipping address, and (3) enter your credit card information. Your online transaction is processed by the PayPal payment gateway (a secure SSL encrypted transaction server) which guarantees that your transaction is completely safe. You'll see a padlock symbol at the bottom of your web browser when you reach the secure order page on PayPal that asks for your credit card number and expiration date, or you can opt to sign-on to PayPal and pay using your PayPal account. Upon successful completion of your online order, you will receive a confirmation email from Rhino Software that serves as your official customer receipt. Please hold onto this email as it contains your customer order number and includes directions and a Username and Password that you need to download software from our web site. Some software products (such as Rhino Baseball) are available for immediate download after you complete your online order. All of our software titles are also available on CD-R. Purchasing an Upgrade
If you've previously purchased Rhino Baseball or Rhino Hockey at least one time over the past three (3) seasons, then you're eligible to buy the current version of the software at the Upgrade Price shown on the order form. Please note that purchasing the current version of the software also entitles you to receive any free software upgrades that may be published during that sport's current season. To order an upgrade, simply place your online order as you normally would. On the page where you can review your order quantity & price, you will see a box where you can enter a Promo code or Upgrade request. Type the phrase Upgrade Order into that box. That's all you need to do. Your online order receipt will still show the Full Price and you'll be charged Full Price. Once we receive your online order and verify that you are indeed a legitimate repeat customer, then we will apply the upgrade discount to your order and you'll be refunded the appropriate amount to your credit card or PayPal account. Please allow up to 14 days for us to process your rebate/credit transaction.
Gold Club Members
If you've previously purchased Rhino Baseball from us at least twice during the past 4 seasons, then you're eligible for Gold Club Member pricing. For example, if you purchased Rhino Baseball Deluxe from us in 2005 and 2007, you're eligible to purchase it in 2008 at the discounted Gold Club Member price. Note that in special situations at the company's discretion, Gold Club Member pricing may be extended to other long-time Rhino Software customers. Feel free to contact us to see if you're eligible. When ordering, simply place your online order as you normally would. On the page where you can review your order quantity & price, you will see a box where you can enter a Promo code or Upgrade request. Type the phrase Gold Club Member into that box. Downloading vs. CD-R
The advantage of downloading software from the web is that you receive the product faster and it saves you money. After completing your online order, you are instructed to proceed to a special page where you can immediately download the software that you just ordered (see note 1). You don't have to wait several days to receive a CD-R disk in the mail. Plus, because you're also saving us time by not having to burn, package, and mail a disk, you save $10 off the price of the software (CD-R's cost $10 more than downloads). On the downside, some of our software products are pretty large and take a while to download. People with slow modem connections (56K or less) and those who simply hate waiting for lengthy downloads to complete, may not want to go the download route. And popping a CD-R into your PC to install the software is much easier for people who just aren't all that web-savvy. The advantage of receiving your software on CD-R is simpler installation and a permanent copy of the software on disk. There's nothing easier from a software installation standpoint than simply popping a CD into your CD-ROM drive. There's no time spent downloading, locating the downloaded file on your hard drive and unzipping it, and no double-clicking the proper EXE file to start the installation. Plus, with a CD-R, you have a permanent copy of the software on disk that you can't accidentally delete from your hard drive. The downside of getting software on CD-R is that it takes longer to receive it, and it costs you more money. Orders for software on CD-R are usually filled within 2 business days after receipt of purchase, and then shipped via USPS Priority Mail (2-3 day delivery). So packaged software normally takes 3-5 days to be delivered to you. Also, because of shipping, handling, and raw materials costs, CD-R software costs $10 more than downloaded software.
Shipping & HandlingIf you elect to order one of our software products on CD-R, please note that an extra $10 charge (over the price of the downloadable version) will be applied to cover the costs of raw materials, shipping, and handling.
For orders received from outside the continental USA, extra shipping charges and longer delivery times apply. The following table shows the shipping rates and delivery times for both domestic and international orders.
Unlock CodesSome of our software products (such as Rhino Baseball and Rhino Hockey) require the customer to enter an Unlock Code to register the software and turn it into an unlimited use product. There are several reasons why this unlocking mechanism exists. For starters, it allows us to offer a free, limited-use version of the software to prospective customers who want to check it out before they buy the product. Secondly, it allows us to verify that customers who have purchased the software from us have paid for it with a valid credit card or PayPal account. If the payment is declined or fraudulent, or an invalid card was used, we don't issue unlock codes to that customer until the problem is resolved. So the unlocking mechanism acts a type of theft/piracy deterrent. Thirdly, the unlocking system ensures that paying customers register their software. Registrants can then be added to our customer database, have stats service accounts setup if needed, and be eligible to receive free technical support if they need it. To obtain an Unlock Code for a software product you've purchased from us, send an email to support@rhinosoftware.com that includes your Name, Order Number (shown on your online order receipt), and your software's unique 16-character Serial Number. Every customer receives a unique Unlock Code which is based on your software's serial number and the product version that you ordered. So please don't forget to send us your serial number or we else can't generate your unique unlock code. Requests for Unlock Codes are typically processed within 2 business days of receipt of your email. Please note that only one (1) unlock code is issued per paying customer. You may install the software on two different computers (for instance, a desktop and laptop) and can get by with 1 unlock code. If you want to purchase a 2nd unlock code to provide a copy to a fantasy team co-owner, friend, or family member, you can do so at an additional license fee of $20.
Refunds, Re-Downloads & Replacement DisksRefunds We offer free trial versions of some of our software products (such as Rhino Baseball), so prospective customers are strongly encouraged to try-before-you-buy. Test-driving the software before you purchase lets you see if the software will fit your needs and isn't too advanced for your computer skill level.
