Forecasting & Draft Prep

  1. View Batting, Pitching, and Games-by-Position stats from 1994-2004 for over 1600 Major League players. See Final Year-End stats from any season, and 3-Year Averages over the last 3 major league seasons.

  2. Apply advanced stat filters to analyze only those players who meet your specific statistical criteria.

  3. View Depth Charts for every major league team.

  4. Use the built-in Stats Forecasting engine to generate preseason stat projections for major league players. Our sophisticated forecasting engine takes into account 3 years of historical stats (both major & minor league), ballpark effects, player's age, injury history, chance for breakout season, batting/pitching role, expected playing time, and the effect of new teammates.

  5. Adjust expected playing time, account for recent injuries & role changes, and set the forecasting method (aggressive, conservative, normal) for every player in the database, and even alter the stat weighting percentages. This gives you a tremendous degree of control over the stats forecasting process.

  6. View projected Top 30 Leaders for any stat category (including your own user-defined stats). Or view an all-in-one report showing the Top-20 projected stats leaders for just those stat categories your league uses for scoring purposes.

  7. Quickly calculate Dollar Values for the players in your fantasy league based on your scoring categories, roster sizes, salary cap & bid units, hitting versus pitching spending splits, and frozen players. View raw dollars, inflation adjusted draft values, optimal bids, and profit earned for every player.

  8. Keeper league team owners can enter the projected or actual Freeze Lists for every team in their league, and then use the Freeze List Analyzer to evaluate players by their Profit/Loss, VALS (Value Above Last Starter), and keeper Risk Level.

  9. Use the Draft Assistant to assemble a sample team of players that you wish to draft, making sure that those players fit within your draft day budget. You can test numerous "What If?" scenarios to see which sample team produces the best projected stats. Each scenario is saved as a "draft plan".

  10. Run your assortment of draft plans thru the Draft Plan Analyzer to determine which plan best meets your desired stat goals and gives you the best shot at winning your fantasy league. Create a handy cheatsheet that shows a side-by-side comparison of your two best draft plans.

  11. Owners in non-auction leagues will find the Fantasy Point Ratings window very useful. It shows an assortment of player ratings, including those for your own user-defined rating formulas. You can easily rank players by any rating column at the click of a button.

  12. Use the Draft Cheatsheet to print a list of available players grouped by position (ranked by either Dollar Value or Fantasy Points) to take to your auction/draft.

  13. Rapidly generate fantasy player and fantasy team information tables that you can access during your league's live player draft or when holding a mock draft.

  14. Track available & taken players, dynamic inflation-adjusted dollar values, and money spent during your live rotisserie auction or simple draft using the Draft Central function. You can also view in-depth player info, including projected stats, 3-year averages, and final stats from last season, for each player that comes up for bid during your auction/draft.

  15. View the current rosters and team spending analysis for all the fantasy teams in your league at any point during your live draft. See how much talent has been accumulated so far (in terms of dollar values & profit, or fantasy points) for every team.

  16. Use the Draft Researcher to generate player rankings based on your chosen filter and ranking criteria. This is very handy for identifying who the best available players are in certain stat categories, at certain positions, or based on dollar values or point ratings.

  17. During your live rotisserie auction, adjust your favorite draft plan on the fly using the Draft Advisor. If a player on your wish-list has been drafted by somebody else, ask the Advisor to show a list of recommended replacements who play the same position, and whose price and stats production are similar. You can even see how the projected stats of the players you've drafted so far compare to the statistical goals that you've set for your team.

In-Season Analysis

  1. After your annual draft is over, you can set projected lineups for the teams in your league and then calculate Projected Team Stats & Scores based on player forecasts. You can easily generate updated team projections anytime throughout the season.

  2. View Batting, Pitching, and Games-by-Position player stats from the start of the regular season (Year-to-Date) or just those stats produced over a specific date range (Period-to-Date).

  3. Generate Player Graphs that visually compare statistical trends for a chosen set of players over a specified series of stat dates.

  4. Use the built-in Stats Forecasting engine to generate updated player projections (year-to-date or remaining forecasts) during the season.

  5. Calculate player Impact Ratings that show the number of points an average fantasy team in your league would gain or lose if it had a given player on its Active Roster. Impact Ratings can be based on actual or projected stats.

  6. Run the Stock Market Report to generate Stock Values and Buy/Sell/Hold recommendations for a chosen group of players. A player's Stock Value is derived by comparing his actual year-to-date stats versus his forecast stats to determine how much better/worse he's doing relative to his expected stat production. Large changes in a player's stock value signal a Buy or Sell recommendation by Rhino Baseball's stock picker.

  7. Use the Trade Analyzer to simulate a fantasy trade and observe the effects it has on the projected point scores of the teams in your league. This powerful decision-support tool helps owners decide if a proposed trade will help or hurt their team in the point standings.

  8. Use the Player Evaluator to evaluate add/drop, trade, and freeze scenarios for a chosen group of players. Rhino Baseball generates Quality Point ratings for each player in the "evaluation group" based on 10 different factors, then compares those ratings to determine how beneficial the proposed add/drop/trade/freeze scenario is to your team in terms of Quality Point gains or losses.
