Company Profile
Rhino Software is a small,
independently owned and operated software development company founded in 1995 by
President and Chief Software Architect, Steve Severino.
Our
home office resides in Enola, Pennsylvania, which is located about 5 minutes outside of
the state capital of Harrisburg, PA.
The company
develops
and publishes software covering a varied range of topics. This includes fantasy
sports and stats analysis software, computer-assisted wargames, report viewing
and manipulation utilities, and small business management software.
We also run a
weekly stats service that enables customers to download updated files containing
MLB player statistics and NHL player statistics for use with their fantasy sports leagues.
Our best-selling
product is Rhino Baseball, a
multi-purpose program for running fantasy/rotisserie baseball leagues. The
software allows users to forecast player performance,
helps them with draft preparation and at-the-draft player tracking, and
enables them to analyze
player stats, team statistics and point standings, player ratings and fantasy dollar values, and fantasy trades.
Rhino Software specializes in developing database applications for desktop PC's
running the Microsoft Windows operating system
(Win 98/ME/NT/2000/XP).
Our
primary tool of choice for
developing client/server and desktop software is PowerBuilder (by
Sybase Inc.), an object-oriented 4th generation RAD programming language which
we've been using since 1995.
We also dabble in the development of web-based applications using a
combination of PowerBuilder window/datawindow plug-ins, PHP, MySQL, and
Javascript. Web site design
(including our company web site) is primarily done using Microsoft FrontPage. When
time permits, we also provide consulting and custom software development
services to small business owners.
Our company goal is simple. We create innovative,
reliable,
easy-to-use software that provides you with the quality information
you need to truly enjoy your hobbies or simplify the management of your small
business. And because we're a small company, we can offer you responsive, personalized
customer service that mega-corporations simply don't have the time to provide.

 Rhino
Software's President, Chief Software Architect, and company founder is
Steve Severino. A
hands-on leader, Steve is involved in every aspect of the business,
from product conceptualization, to functional and technical design, programming, testing, graphical design, website construction, marketing,
and customer service.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Science
degree in Computer Science from Penn State University.
He's also
an avid participant and expert in the field of fantasy sports and the brains behind our
much-loved Rhino
Baseball software, and our upcoming Rhino
Hockey product. Since the late 1980's, Steve has been
organizing, playing in, and running fantasy baseball, football, and hockey leagues. He has won fantasy
league championships in all three sports, including 7 titles in the HARL
baseball league, which Steve founded in 1987 and which is still run by him today.
In addition to his love of
fantasy sports, Steve is also a longtime miniature wargaming enthusiast
and member of HMGS East. It's
not surprising then that Steve is the designer and lead developer of our
new computer-assisted miniatures wargame, Sword
of Severnia, which is currently in the playtesting phase.
Prior to founding Rhino Software in 1995,
Steve worked as a Software Systems Analyst for AMP Incorporated (now known
as
Tyco
Electronics). His work at AMP focused on the development of large-scale
manufacturing systems, with special emphasis on the areas of inventory control, material
requirements planning (MRP), factory order scheduling, material shortage
resolution, sales forecasting, and make/stock/assemble product analysis.

Note to Spammers:
In order to significantly reduce the amount of spam
e-mail we receive on a daily basis, we use spam filtering technology to identify
and automatically delete unsolicited spam email. Senders who email us the same
message multiple times from the same domain are automatically blacklisted, as
